Founded in 1984, Media Counselors began as an electronic media placement agency specializing in Radio, Broadcast TV and Cable. Through the years, Media Counselors has expanded its expertise to include Out-of-Home, Print and Digital media placement.

Our goal is to reach the greatest number of target consumers, the greatest number of times at the lowest possible cost. We achieve our goal through creating and fostering relationships with our clients and vendors, working together to achieve media placements that benefit both sides of the negotiating table.

Media Counselors has represented clients in Automotive, Banking, Marine, Media Outlets, Cellular, Cruise Lines, Healthcare, Not-For-Profits, News Organizations, Professional Sports, Government Agencies, Quick-Service Restaurants and Attractions. We strive to become an integral part of our clients’ business, resulting in many of our clients continuing to use our services for over 30 years.

      1. Nielsen is a leading global information and measurement company that enables companies to understand consumers and consumer behavior. Nielsen measures and monitors what consumers watch (programming, advertising) and what consumers buy (categories, brands, products) on a global and local basis. The company has a presence in approximately 100 countries spread across Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, Middle East, North America, South America and Russia.

      1. Nielsen Audio (formerly Arbitron) is a consumer research company in the United States that collects listener data on radio broadcasting audiences. Nielsen Audio’s syndicated radio ratings service collects data by selecting a random sample of a population throughout the United States, primarily in 294 metropolitan areas, using a paper diary service 2‑4 times a year and the Portable People Meter (PPM) electronic audience measurement service 365 days a year.

      1. SQAD receives actual media cost data from agencies and media buying companies and processes data that is based on actual buys for the current quarter. Data is filtered through SQAD to eliminate special programming that inappropriately alters the current and future CPPs (i.e., Thanksgiving Day Parade, Super Bowl, etc.) Using the current quarter’s actual estimates, projections for subsequent quarters are directionally based on movement seen in the current quarter. SQAD creates forecasting algorithms that allow users to budget and plan up to four quarters into the future.

      1. Scarborough provides local market research, shopping patterns, media behaviors, lifestyle and demographic information of American consumers. Nielsen Scarborough is a national media research company that conducts over 200,000 surveys per year in over 120 DMAs. Scarborough gathers information about radio listening, newspaper and magazine reading, television viewing, leisure activities and shopping habits. The information is used to understand what consumers are listening to, reading, viewing and buying.

      1. Kantar enables our clients to make informed decisions on media and marketing strategies by measuring advertising activities by spend, creative, channel and type of media, both on and offline. Kantar provides the media industry with the competitor intelligence to understand their share of voice, shape their campaigns, optimize planning and drive sales. Kantar data is used to create more effective plans, to enhance campaign performance and for alerts about what competitors are doing.

    1. Media Counselors strives to determine the most cost-effective media mix to reach the target audience and satisfy media objectives with each media plan. Media placements are focused on exposing the target audience to the message at the critical point when the consumer is most receptive. We use the research gathered from our media partners and clients to determine campaign goals, target market and available media opportunities.

Media Counselors’ philosophy focuses on fostering vendor relationships to ensure that we are not only getting the most efficient rates, but that our partners are also benefitting from the campaign buy. We incorporate added-value opportunities into every campaign, as well as place buys up to 100% trade. To uphold our clients’ brand integrity, Media Counselors confirms that each placement has prime positioning and encourages our partners to protect our clients’ brands.

    1. Analytics drive the success of all marketing initiatives and are an important part of every campaign. We provide Proof of Performance (POPs) for every campaign, hosted on our proprietary cloud-based server – Media Counselors Client Cloud (MC3) – for all clients to access at any time. Each media plan is always evaluated during the campaign flight, as well as a full post analysis after the campaign is completed. During the campaign, we make necessary adjustments if needed, and ensure that all make-goods are completed within the campaign parameters.

Our Google Certified expertise delivers customizable digital campaigns focused on ROIs. We analyze each campaign, provide full reports and optimize every detail on a daily basis. Our unique position within a traditional media buying agency allows the digital team to incorporate SEM and social media advertising into traditional media buys, ensuring the full campaign is seamless and reaches optimal reach and frequency levels within the target market.
